Melbourne!! (Day 1)

Day 1: Arrival We arrived at night around 8ish and caught the Skybus (which brought about immediate whinging from Drew) to the Spencer St terminal. Joanne (the friend we stayed with) kindly picked us up in her brand spanking new Golf and we headed back to her apartment where we would base ourselves for the next 8 days. The apartment was literally perfect for us - 3 guitars including a 'Baby' Taylor, Gibson and a classical along with a Yamaha keyboard. Drew and I slept in the lounge area on two sofa beds (which was much better than we had imagined) and kept our luggage in the spare guest room. Location-wise, this place was pro. Joanne'es aparment is on La Trobe St, which runs all the way down to Melbourne Central and is only a 10 minute walk from the heart of the city. Basically, it was a great start to the trip (apart from the fact that i lost my camera battery for the first day or so of the trip).




I am not entirely sure what happened the rest of that night but I'm sure it was fantastic. We may have possibly gone out but from what I can remember we stayed home, Joanne's boyfriend Jeremy came to visit, and we showed off our freaky guitar pros.
